Welcome to the Tablet Tab. This is where I’ve listed all the medications, prescribed by my GP, that I’m currently taking.
I’m also going to do a bit of research to see what it is I’m taking, why I’m taking it and whether I should be taking it.
Candesartan
I currently take one 16mg tablet a day. I take this to treat my high blood pressure or, to you use the proper medical term, to treat hypertension.
According to the NHS website, high blood pressure is considered to be from 140/90mmHg or more if your reading was taken at a pharmacy, GP surgery or clinic (or an average of 135/85mmHg if it was taken at home).
Ideal blood pressure is usually considered to be between 90/60mmHg and 120/80mmHg
